The study material in this course is fine and comprehensive; that wasn't a problem. The major issue I had was with how my touchstones were graded. You are supposed to take a debatable issue and then pick a side and support it with research, rhetorical devices, and the like. I chose quite a contentious topic within politics (capitalism vs socialism if you were curious). when I graded my first draft I was met with criticism for my idea not the quality of the draft. Direct quotes from the grader: "The issue with this question is that capitalism (especially in the US, but in other colonialist nations as well) is used to exploit the labor of enslaved people to produce generational wealth for white people. " "It doesn’t do these things for all though— it does these things if you are white, able bodied, privileged, and have access to generational wealth. " " Again, I urge you to look beyond a binary here." This is very unprofessional and I would expect better from a teacher.

The course content was enjoyable and I learned a lot. The only issue I had with this course is the way the questions are written. I would say they are poorly worded and misleading.

Great , easy course that is relatable

There were some minor grammatical errors and maybe having some extra videos about the people talked about in the class would help out a lot more. Just to get a deeper understanding of the people and the polices that were passed.
